The first book on magazine sensation Holiday, which between 1946 and 1977 was one of the most exciting publications in the world. Renowned for its bold layouts, literary credibility, and ambitious choice of photographers and artists, Holiday portrayed the romance of travel like no other periodical At Holiday magazine's peak, urbane editor, Ted Patrick, and visionary art director, Frank Zachary, invited postwar America to see and read about the world. On the journey, readers joined the magazine's renowned roster of talent. Some of the most celebrated writing by Jack Kerouac, Ernest Hemingway, Graham Greene, Joan Didion, Truman Capote, Colette, and EB White (his piece “Here Is New York” was commissioned for Holiday in 1949) first appeared in its pages. Henri Cartier-Bresson documented a breathtaking Paris and other cities; Slim Aarons captured the glamor of traveling around the world; and Al Hirschfeld and Ludwig Bemelmans contributed showstopping illustrations of places and characters. Pamela Fiori writes about the magazine's history, giving it context during the era of the jet age, world turbulence, and the rise of Madison Avenue advertising. Holiday was a vibrant original, inspiring travel magazines that followed and leaving glorious photography and art as well as thought-provoking journalism in its wake.

RETURN METHODS

You can return goods in the following ways:

  • By delivering the item(s) directly to the store in Oslo.
  • Log in to your profile, view your orders and select the order you want to return by clicking "request return" and follow the steps.
  • If you choose to return the item on your own, you will pay the carrier when you send the return.
  • If you are not a resident of Norway, contact us at post@moniker.no to create a return.

RETURNS AND RETURN COSTS

If you return an item using our returns service, we will deduct the cost of the return shipping from your refund. The cost of the return is 69,- NOK (199,- NOK for all international orders).

If you choose to ship the item yourself, you will pay the carrier when you send the return.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY DELIVERY?

Porter Buddy can deliver your order directly to your door within a few hours in the Oslo area if you order before 1:00 PM the same day. Bring delivers in 1-7 days throughout Norway, and DHL can usually deliver your order within 48 hours if you order before 1:00 PM the same day. (Does not apply on weekends)

HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED?

Once you have placed an order, you will receive an order confirmation from us. We will then begin the process of packing your order. When your order is packed and ready for pickup by our shipping partner, you will be notified with a shipping confirmation email, which will include a tracking number. When your order is on its way or delivered to your nearest pickup location, you will be notified by the shipping carrier.

International Orders – Customs and Duties

We ship from Norway. Orders delivered within Norway are duty free. For international orders, please note that local customs duties, fees and taxes may apply. All international orders placed with us are processed and shipped via DHL, with delivery typically taking 2-5 business days.

All international orders are shipped DAP (Delivered at Place). This means that the recipient is responsible for paying all import duties, customs fees, and local taxes required by the destination country to release the shipment. These costs are not included in the total price at checkout and are not covered by Moniker. We have no control over these costs and cannot predict what they will be. We recommend contacting your local customs office for an estimate of these costs before placing your order to avoid any surprises.

  • Refusal to Pay Customs Duty If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs duties, you will be responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Moniker. Please note that in some cases the carrier may consider the package abandoned, resulting in it being destroyed. Accordingly, such orders will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Returns and refunds Please note that customs duties and taxes are not refundable in the event of a return.
