Linn lives in a newly renovated two bedroom apartment. Keynotes for the apartment are a mix of bold and calming colors, or should we say calming bold colors. When Linn started renovating her place, she wanted to get rid of the old feel of the apartment (being an old building from the 1950s) but at the same time stay true to her mix of old and new. When she first moved in the place looked, in her words, a mess, and it's first in the last two years that the place is becoming more and more true to her style. We stopped by Linn on a gloomy tuesday and enjoyed some delicious cinnamon buns while chatting away about her love for colors, curated vintage items and pretty flowers.

The living room has a newly added Polkadot couch which immediately caught our eyes, and the key colors are a soft green, different blue tones and a bright lavender. She has lived in the apartment for 6 years, and just recently painted the whole livingroom for the second time. This time Linn went for a calming, minty green which goes very well with just about everything else in the space.

One of the things she added while renovating was built-in closets in the hallway and guest bedroom, of course in bold colors. The one in the guest bedroom is painted in a fresh green tone, which matches up nicely with the neutral walls and blue ceiling. It's safe to say that Linn has an obsession with Helle Mardahl, and we are here for it!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE ROOM?
The living room is the room that feels the most done, and also probably the room I spend most of my time in, so it's high up on the list, but ever since I renovated the bathroom it has become a favorite room for sure. Before I didn't get a good vibe at all, and now I really enjoy every second spent in there. I love dimming the light, burning some candles, and putting on some nice music while taking long showers at night, it is really just a good vibe in there now.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR INTERIOR STYLE?
My style has definitely changed over the years. Earlier I was very much into vintage interiors, but at some point, I had to do a detox in my home because everything was old and with gold details. Ha ha. I've learned that I really like a good mix of vintage and new, eclectic and unique items mixed with a modern touch and delicious colors.

WHAT WILL NEVER ENTER YOUR APARTMENT?

Hmm, I'm not sure .. I probably would not go for the whole quote-art stuff, and even though I'm very much into colors, I'm not a fan of neon colors.

WHAT ARE YOUR BEST TIPS FOR CREATING A MORE PERSONAL HOME?

Definitely taking your time! I love collecting pieces over time and I think that if you are buying stuff you love, you'll always find room for it.

WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?

I've found a lot of inspiration on Pinterest. I 100% have Pinterest boards for every room in my apartment! I also love watching interior videos on youtube.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE ITEM IN THE APARTMENT?
Definitely all of my decor! I love all of my Helle Mardahl pieces.

“I would say my interior style has changed a lot over the years. It really is like a whole new world opens as soon as you get interested in home decor and get more knowledge. I've always had a thing for vintage items, but I'm trying to implement a more modern touch as well. I want my home to feel cozy and happy, I think I've managed that."
