Patricia Bonaldi , founder and creative director of PatBO , discovered her passion for design early in life. Growing up in Uberlândia, Brazil, where buying new clothes was a luxury—and her mother taught her how to sew—it ignited a lifelong love for creating beautiful, handmade garments. After studying law, Bonaldi chose to follow her true dream and launched her couture label in São Paulo, specializing in unique, hand-sewn evening gowns. In 2002, she founded PatBO , expanding her focus on fit, craftsmanship, and pattern design to ready-to-wear and swimwear collections. With a strong commitment to empowering her community, Bonaldi also established a school next to PatBO’s atelier in her hometown, where local women are trained in artisanal techniques. This provides them with meaningful employment and helps preserve traditional craftsmanship.
