Pearl Octopuss.y is an Oslo-based jewelry brand, founded and handmade by Cathrine Boerter in 2018. With a love for the eccentric and eye-catching, Pearl Octopuss.y aims to reach the customer who loves the maximum. The jewelry is handmade with extreme attention to detail, good craftsmanship – and with a nostalgic joy of owning something unique. Cathrine Boerter worked for almost a decade as a women’s clothing designer in Oslo, before she started making jewelry during her parental leave – almost by chance.
“I immediately fell in love with the process and the feeling of working with my hands in such detail. Suddenly I couldn’t stop. It became my own personal space where I could create something that I myself found beautiful – while at the same time giving me a very special satisfaction of making something tangible. Creating a physical object with my own hands.”
