Hunter was founded in Scotland in 1856 by Henry Lee Norris under the name The North British Rubber Co. , which later became known as Hunter Boot Ltd. The company initially produced wellington boots and other durable rubber products, but it was boots that quickly became their most popular and profitable product category. Over time, the company expanded its range to include boots for a variety of needs – from farming to field use. Hunter has since become known for its functionality and innovative designs – a legacy that is still alive and well today.
